About Us

Nurturing Wellness Group Foundation LLC is a Wayne County, Michigan-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in November 2017 by Terri Brinston, RN, MA, CLNC, and CEO of MSN Consulting Services. Our primary focus is to help students and young adults overcome barriers that prevent or delay success in school and life by providing them access to a holistic support system.

Our program helps build students’ and families’ capacity for adaptation, self-management, career and employment preparation, self-advocacy, and learning. We achieve this through educational programming, prevention initiatives, mentoring, case management services, and parent support.

Terri Brinston

CEO

Terri Brinston is a certified legal nurse consultant, a master-prepared registered nurse, and the founder and CEO of My School Nurse. She is dedicated to helping young people reach their full potential and enjoys exploring new places and expressing herself through creativity in her free time.

Carla Saunders

Program Director

Carla Saunders is the Program Director of the Nurturing Wellness Group Foundation. Her role involves overseeing ongoing programs and being accountable for various tasks, such as planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and chairing program activities and committees.

A. Terry Brinston

Director of Extended Services

Terry Brinston serves as the Director of Operations for the Nurturing Wellness Group Foundation and My School Nurse. His main focus is on procurement and accounting, ensuring efficient and integrity-driven operations for both organizations.

Paul Edwards

Director of Extended Services

Paul Edwards is the Director of Extended Services. Paul a paramedic with over 30 years of experience working in the city of Detroit. He provides educational support, teaches CPR/AED/First Aid, and manages our medical support team through our MSN Fast service.

Carol Lewis is the Founder and Owner of Red Carpet Title Agency and UpScale Jazz Warehouse Lounge. She is also the Broker of Cadillac Realty Group. She is a hard-working and driven Entrepreneur with a deep commitment to social empowerment. She deeply loves her family and is committed to serving others.

Joe Drenik

Treasurer

Joe Drenik is an experienced marketing and communications professional with a strong background in brand development and team leadership. With a robust volunteer background at Maple Leaf MUMS, Joe has a deep commitment to supporting individuals with developmental disabilities.

Shaletta Nuckolls

Secretary

Shaletta Nuckolls is a dedicated Physician Assistant at Henry Ford Health, specializing in hospital urology and robotic surgery. With a strong background in organizing, goal setting, and fundraising, Shaletta excels in creating structured approaches to achieving objectives and driving growth.

James Hamilton Jr.

Member at Large

James Hamilton served in the U.S. Army and retired as a First Sargent. He also retired from Ford Motor Company with over 30 years of service. He is an active member of Middlebelt Baptist Church and has served as a Trustee and Building and Grounds ministry. He enjoys golfing and serving others.

George P. Brooks

Member at Large

George P. Brooks is an active Member at Large on our board, currently serving with the Sisters of Hope and Faith since 2022. With a strong foundation in networking and communication, George’s strengths have been crucial in advancing the mission of the Nurturing Wellness Group Foundation.

William Mohammed

Member at Large

William Mohammed has worked in the social service field in various roles, from youth worker to therapeutic counselor, and is currently with the Ford Motor Company. He continues his work with youth and families as a part of the Community Service Chairman of Local 892 while serving as the Vice President.

Yvonne Johnson

Yvonne Johnson is a dedicated Physician Assistant at Henry Ford Health, where she provides comprehensive medical care and treatment in a hospital setting. With extensive experience in managing patient care during times of illness and stress, Yvonne brings valuable medical knowledge and a compassionate approach to her role.

Dominic Wragg

Member at Large

Dominic Ramon Wragg is a Maintenance Electrician at Wolfspeed, with strengths in mentoring, teaching, organization, and leadership. He is committed to being an active board member, promoting the organization’s mission and fostering partnerships. With no objections to a financial commitment, Dominic’s extensive experience in similar roles and passion for advocacy make him a strong asset to the board.

Anthony Evans

Anthony E. Evans is the President/CEO of ITMedics, LLC, with a strong background in healthcare, construction, automotive, and government sectors. His key strengths include contributing in multiple areas and driving opportunities for growth. Anthony is eager to serve as a board member, focusing on areas such as policy development, community service, and advocacy. He has no objections to a financial commitment and is committed to improving through feedback and making a meaningful impact.
